The Horse Whisperer

My pet human went to the ranch this weekend, and she is very sad. Ballou (pronounced by-you), a very handsome and friendly buckskin, is very ill.

Ballou used to be the personal horse of Senor Sandoval at Rancho El Topo, in the Sierra Juarez mountains of Baja. Senor Sandoval was a true horse whisperer, and a true gentleman. He passed away almost two years ago, and Rancho El Topo has not been the same since. My pet human and her friends loved Senor Sandoval very much, and they miss him.

Now Ballou is very ill. He has colic, and after 1 month of treatment is worse. My pet human helped walk him until late last night. The vet could not help much.

It may be unusual for me to ask the cat blogosphere to pray for the recovery of a horsie, but I sure would appreciate it, on behalf of my pet human and Ballou.

Luv,

Skittles, The Huntress

Ballou is a beautiful horsie and we are purring our biggest and strongest purrrs that he feels better soon. Tummy troubles are usually a symptom of something else so we are hoping Ballou recovers very soon.

Prayers for his family too <3

Sending our best, extra-large healing purrss for Ballou.

Ballou, you'll have to forgive us if we don't try to {hug} you; we doubt that is possible for us. :-)
