Wordy Wednesday

A poem for Poetry Month and Wordy Wednesday

Rustic Face On A Park Bench

A little laughter jumps into air like rolled dice,
or sometimes a thimble of laughter
comes crawling through the Greek dawn.

Lions yawp, cowboys ride buffaloes,
buildings howl memories-
Halloween......

But at last
into this rushing kick of world,
a noon transparency enters. Disguised
as a detective, He puts His finger on your shirt button,
marking you for Heaven.

We enjoyed your poem, and the photo. Be sure to visit with Cecil and invite him to join your yoga class; check out his "moves"...

Thanks a lot for featuring my poem, Skittles!

It was a poem that I originally wrote when I was 19, but it wasn't published until I was 50.
