ManCat MonDay

Oh My!!! All of a sudden, I have a lot of ManCats in my life. I never thought this would happen.

I need your help and advice. First, Sam, The Marmalade Cat, who lives next door under Ginny's art studio, proposed marriage to me. It was all of a sudden and I was very upset! I didn't know how to act or what to do.
Sammy gave me this ring.
Then my boyfriend, SlyCat, of Evanston, Illinois, proposed to me too. Here is his photo, all sleek and sophisticated.
This is the ring SlyCat gave me.
BUT HERE'S MY DILEMMA! SHOULD I EVEN CONSIDER MARRIAGE????

I hadn't thought about this at all....it's kinda scary and it's a big commitment. What if I chose the wrong ManCat? What if the right ManCat is still out there, but I haven't met him? THIS IS BIG!! I'm not in a position to choose between ManCats if I am still all a quiver about the marital union.

I don't know what to do.

Please help me decide whether I should consider marriage. I posted a poll. so you can vote to help me out. I was inspired by Kimo and Sabi and their Jump & Shout Contest (I'm a participant in the shout contest), so I will donate 50 cents to Cat Friends Helping Friends (CFHF) for every vote each kitty makes to help me decide.

Thank you for your time and thoughts.

Luv,
Skittles, The Huntress

Sam looks like he will try hard to win you over. I admire that in a ginger boy! Good luck making a choice!

Well, speaking as a black brother, it has to be Slycat. That glorious black rippling fur with its subtle highlights. But why marriage? Thanks to interfering humans I have discovered that I am not much interested in what UK humans call nooky, hanky panky, or even a bit of this and that. Those damn humans fixed me.

Seeing as felines aren't monogam..monugu..monogamous...then you can marry every mancat you wish! You can one for every day of the week!

Go girl! x

No need to make your mind up yet. When the right mancat comes along, you will know right away. Just follow your heart and when it tells you that you really want to marry a mancat, then you'll know he's the one furr you.It may be Sam or Sly, or it may be somecat you haven't even met yet.

Whew - this is a tough one. Since you are still quite a young gal, maybe you could put the decision off for a while!

we doesn't know Sammy and we likes Slycat very much, but you is young. Has Sammy even courted you? He is taking advantage of the fact that Slycat is in Illinois, and that might not be fair. You seemed to haf feelings for Slycat and you kind of seemed to not like Sammy that much 'acuase he intrudes on your territory. So, we think you should maybe wait a little while.

This is not easy. To have a special partner and companion in life is a very wonderful and rare thing. If it comes along it should not be passed by..... If it comes along in pairs.... consider being a bit non-traditional... We are cats - we do not have to live by any laws.
In Tibet the tradition is for one woman to have two husbands..... just something to think about..... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
I hope you will come to my and Ruis wedding. Bring you two suitors!

Marriage can wait, yoor young and healthy and fixed...get yoorself a male harem (is der a word fur dat?) We all love Sly and we know he loves you but, what if, der is a storm or a scary movie or something? Yoo need a mancat dat is available to hold yoor paw RIGHT NOW.

Zoolatry said...

MMmm, ML's suggestion to "furst keep the rings" is a good one. Cat Realm's suggestion on the Tibetan tradition of "two husbands" is equally good. It is a dilemna -- like voting for Purrsident will be!!! But, purrsonally we voted for you to "wait"... what's the rush? You have known Sly a long time tho... right? A good man is hard to find. Now we're talking ourselves into another answer... oh dear...

Dearest Skittles

You are a stunning feline. I feel strongly that you should have your nip and roll around in it; that is - instead of marrying them, have fun with them and also consider having a stunning siamese prince as a potential suitor.

That is my advice.

Ta ta for now

We thinks you should wait. First of all, because Sly isn't home near you right now, and he is your boyfriend. Then, the Samcat moved awfully quick, and we thinks this is a Big Decision that should take time.

And thirdly, if you wait until we grow up, we could marry you! (And then you'd have two husbands that like each other). Think about it!

I think you are too young to get married. But maybe you could date both of them until you decide who is the correct Mancat for you!

I must say If you are not sure you are ready to marry than hold off. DO not be presured into marriage. Wait till you are ready. Even f you maryy the right man you may not be happy beacuse you were not ready. You have 2 great mancats too choose from

Gretchen said...

I'd stick with Sly, but I'd also say wait.

I was in a dither last summer when my Yoggie in Sweden proposed to me. I had to have the advise of a trusted friend to know for sure that is was not the right time in my life to get married. I'm glad I said no. We're still sweethearts, Yoggie and I, but the pressure is off and I think we're both much happier. At least I know I am. After all Yoggie is only my first love, how else am I going to know if I love another some day if I'm tied into a marriage.

Good luck on making the right choice...hugs...G

Our advice is to at least wait until after the election before making any decisions. After all, Sly has been devoted to you for a while and if your party wins, it could be a difficult situation if another cat moves into the WhiteHouse with you!

Slycat is #1 (and we bet he'll let you keep the ring too...)
