New Friends Made While Hiking In The Sierras

My pet human returned from a backpacking trip in the Sierras. (I'm still mad at being held as a POW during this time!)

But she also brought back photos of some new friends she made. Did you know that dogs go hiking too?!!!!

Here are photos of a nice group of hikers who brought their dogs along.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you: Max and Sullivan! They even carry their own packs! This photo was taken at 1000 Island Lakes outside of Mammoth at about 10,500'.
But wait!!! There's one more new friend! Here she is: Katrina!
Katrina normally hikes under her own power, but she was feeling a little high altitude sickness, so her human packed her in that day.

But even more impressive is this: guess where Katrina gets her name. She's a refugee from Hurricane Katrina! Wow!
She's a cutie!

More photos from my pet human's recent hiking trip in the Sierras.

Approach meadow to 1000 Island Lake, again, Mt. Ritter in the background.
Reflective pond along the trail to Duck Lake.

p.s. oh, yeah.....all photos copyright protected. See bottom of sidebar if you have questions.

What a lovely view! We do not think we would like to carry our own backpack.
