Serious Saturday

I am in such a quandry. I don't know what to do. I have two marriage proposals outstanding, and I haven't been able to decide what to do.

Please vote in my poll and let me know if you think I should even consider marriage right now. I'm young, and the election is just around the corner.

I have pledged 50 cents for each vote received to Cat Friends Helping Friends, so it's for a good cause, not just my ego.

Sammy is waiting patiently for my answer.
My boyfriend and running mate. SlyCat, of Evanston, Illinois, has upped the ante. He recently suggested that a courtship may be the proper course right now, since I am skittish about marriage.
I think these two ManCats deserve an answer soon. So voting will end on Sunday at Midnight, PDST.

Thank you all for your thoughts and advice on my dilemma.

Luv,

ManCat MonDay

Oh My!!! All of a sudden, I have a lot of ManCats in my life. I never thought this would happen.

I need your help and advice. First, Sam, The Marmalade Cat, who lives next door under Ginny's art studio, proposed marriage to me. It was all of a sudden and I was very upset! I didn't know how to act or what to do.
Sammy gave me this ring.
Then my boyfriend, SlyCat, of Evanston, Illinois, proposed to me too. Here is his photo, all sleek and sophisticated.
This is the ring SlyCat gave me.
BUT HERE'S MY DILEMMA! SHOULD I EVEN CONSIDER MARRIAGE????

I hadn't thought about this at all....it's kinda scary and it's a big commitment. What if I chose the wrong ManCat? What if the right ManCat is still out there, but I haven't met him? THIS IS BIG!! I'm not in a position to choose between ManCats if I am still all a quiver about the marital union.

I don't know what to do.

Please help me decide whether I should consider marriage. I posted a poll. so you can vote to help me out. I was inspired by Kimo and Sabi and their Jump & Shout Contest (I'm a participant in the shout contest), so I will donate 50 cents to Cat Friends Helping Friends (CFHF) for every vote each kitty makes to help me decide.

Thank you for your time and thoughts.

A Weekend of Hugs

Dear Friends,

As we all know now, this weekend is Hugs Weekend in honor of Bonnie Underfoot. I was so shocked by the suddenness of her death. All day today, my pet human has been chasing, ummmmm I mean following, me around and hugging me. She keeps talking about how special I am to her. Of course I'm special! Duh. But Bonnie's death hit me pretty hard too, although I know many of my friends are now at the Rainbow Bridge. I would like to hug everyone to honor them too.

I don't have any brothers or sisters. So, I have posted some of my favorite photos of my feline friends hugging each other.

Purrrrs, huggggggggs, and love to all, especially Victor TabbyCat and MomJen.

Luv,
Skittles, The Huntress

ooooops! I guess this kitty wanted to hug a dog!
Oh! I've posted this one before.....proof that other cats have teddy dogs, too.

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

p.s. my pet human works all weekend, sat.sun. and mon. So she apologizes to all the kitties in the blogosphere for not being able to personally visit everyone's site to pass on hugs. Please accept this post as my hug for you.

Sly and Sam Will Have To Wait

Today my boyfriend, SlyCat, proposed to me too. But I am way to emotional to even think! My heroine, Bonnie Underfoot, has gone to the Rainbow Bridge.

SlyCat and Sammy will just have to wait. All I can do is cry right now. Bonnie was one of the first kitties to find and comment on my blog. And of course, she was a superior Tabby. I looked up to her, and her ability to MegaWhap anything. She was fearless.

Goodbye Bonnie. Someday I will see you at the Rainbow Bridge.

Thursday Thirteen

Sam replies:

My dear, Skittles, thank you for the invitation to come inside for some nip. I want you to be completely comfortable with me, so since your pet human is not home, I don't think it's right for a ManCat to enter your home without an appropriate chaperone. Don't get me wrong, I am a total gentleman. Let's walk through your beautiful garden instead, and I will tell you thirteen things about why you should marry me:1. I can support you in any fashion you wish, because I am a superior hunter.

2. I have been faithful and true to you for 5 years now, pining away, hoping you would notice me.

3. I will watch out for you.

4. I will give you a lovely home complete with it's own Artiste in Residence (Ginny)

5. You won't have to leave Point Loma, or even this neighborhood, since I live next door.

6. You will be surrounded with love, from me, and also from your favorite humans.....your main pet human, Bob, Julie, Ginny and Bill, and Sue and Bill.

7. If you wish to have children, I would love to adopt kittens with you.....you would be a fabulous mother.

8. I love your garden, and I will support all of your gardening efforts.

9. Very important! I will protect you for raccoons, possums, and skunks, as well as all those other ManCat suitors who hang around.

10. Your sleek tabby coat, a model of perfection, leaves me weak in the knees (ahem!)

11. I admire your independent spirit.

12. I admire your yoga classes, and your desire to spread peace and harmony through the world

13. My love for you is deeper than the ocean, and totally true.

Love,
Sam, The Marmalade Cat

Wordy Wednesday-Sam Proposes

My Dearest Skittles,

How very rude of me to propose to you yesterday in such an impromptu way. Of course you were taken aback!

But today, I am here to propose marriage in the proper way.I am so in love with you! I waited for you to come back from Las Vegas and the OC. I have dreamt only of you for years now.

I want to take care of you. I want to shelter you and give you every comfort you deserve. To show my undying passion for you, please accept this token of my love for you
(uuummmmmm, diversionary tactics....................)
Dear Sam,

I'm really flattered by your attention. I'm also speechless. I'm not sure how to answer you, but...............................
Would you like to come in for a little nip?

Showdown with Sammy

I had a very exciting day! Boy, oh boy, the adrenaline is flowing!

I was enjoying a nice, peaceful rest in the shade on the front patio.Until Sam, The Marmalade Cat stuck his head around the corner to sneak a peek at my gorgeous, sleek self.

Immediately I was on my paws and crouched down low to threaten and yowl at him! How dare he show up and ruin my day!
He said he loves me. He said he wants to marry me. He wants to take care of me, and we would be happy for ever and every.
He wants me to leave SlyCat.

I ignored him, and walked away.
He finally got the message and turned around to go back to Bill and Ginny's house.
I back tracked on the front porch to make sure he was really gone. Look how floofy my tail is!
My pet human said I wasn't very nice to Sammy. She said that's not the way a proper lady acts when a mancat proposes marriage. She thinks I should invite him in for nip. NOT! Well, then again, he is persistent, and he lives right next door. He is kinda handsome........hmmmmmmmmmmm.........

Shelter Island Sunday

Wowy! It got hot all of a sudden. Lot's of sunshine. This is great for my new container garden on the side deck. Yes, the plants are doing VERY well......they are very happy!
With all this beautiful weather, I decided to take my pet human for a walk. You know, I recommend getting your human out on occasion for exercise to keep them in a good mood.

I took my pet human to Shelter Island, one of my favorite places. There are lot's of yachts and yacht clubs on Shelter Island. It's kinda a really exclusive place with snazzy walking paths that everyone can enjoy, even those of us without yachts.

First I saw this interesting sign.

I guess this is where the whole world enters Fraser Yachts. I bet it gets crowded!

Here is a photo looking over the bay to downtown. In the right foreground in North Island Naval Base, where they keep lots of aircraft carriers.
Here is the Friendship Bell, donated to San Diego by the city of Yokohama, Japan.
And here is sunset with palms in the distance.
Now, I am home posting this to my blog, and I can see the fireworks from Seaworld.

Yes, tourist season is upon us.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Flower Friday

Good Morning and welcome to Flower Friday.

All the plants are bursting out, and I have many flowers to show.

I wonder how my boyfriend, SlyCat, is doing. He is growing tomatoes. And, he is such a stud!

Next week I will feature my roses, but today, here are some slides of the daisies and calla lilies.

Enjoy! Flower Friday is such a wonderful, special day. I am so glad Sophia and DKM introduced me to it. And with the democratic nomination almost clinched (but I still hope Hillary hangs in there til the end), soon it will be time to turn my attention to the election.

But for now, I'm going to enjoy the flowers.

Wordy Wednesday

THIS IS A POLITICAL ANNOUNCEMENT:

Should Hillary drop out?
NO!!
Of course I am running against McCain and whomever wins the Democratic nomination. And of course, I will beat everyone to take over the White House. So why would I encourage Hillary to stay in?

Heaven forbid the first woman candidate for POTUS should turn out to be a quitter.

I may disagree with her politics, but if she sees it through to the convention, even if she still loses the party nomination, I will respect her for her tenacity.

Good luck, Hillary. Hang in there for all us girls.
